My Ideal Person:
I am looking for a companion. The word is beautiful in its ambiguity, don't you think? It can encompass just a small thing, or everything. On a basic level, companionship can mean simply enjoying spending time in the company of another without expectations, and if that's all I find here, that will be enough.

However, a companionship can also mean something much more. A companion can also be a best friend or a true love. In fact, the deepest intimacy ought to have its roots in a warm companionship first.

I delight in companions who are keenly intelligent. My ideal match is someone with a distinct personality who is not afraid to express his or her opinions. I treat others with openness and honesty, and expect the same in return.

I'm a big believer in kindness. I want to meet people whom I can be unfailingly kind to, and who will return the favor. I'm also hoping to meet someone at least as smart as I am. Leftist politics, musical ability, and articulateness are all huge pluses.

The older I get, the more I realize that I am looking for a nurturing partner.

I must admit to a certain weakness for pretty boys. I guess I've spent a little too much time at goth clubs, because boys in eyeliner are just hot. 'Nuff said.
