I'm a computer geek and an activist who loves to laugh.

I exercise a lot -- bike commuting, training for the RSVP (Ride From Seattle to Vancouver and Party) and rowing, a sport I picked up this spring. I'm also a bookworm, and I enjoy a good game of Scrabble.

I enjoy cooking, and a lot of what I make is very spicy. I've also got a fabulous soft pretzel recipe.

Travel is fun, whether it's close in or far away. I went on vacation to Australia this winter -- and was amazed at how only the plants and animals made it feel at all foreign. The koalas and the fairy penguins were very cute! China and India top my list of countries I'd like to visit. Closer to home, I always enjoy visits to Vancouver and Portland, and I want to make it to Victoria sometime this summer.

My Ideal Person:
I'd like to meet people who share interests and who will also challenge me and introduce me to new things, whether it's a new restaurant or a new interest. My only deal breakers are smokers and republicans.
