We all want the same thing - to love and be loved, to care and be cared for, and all that mushy stuff many of us are not used to admitting. I have many experiences that have taught me to look beyond the surface.
I am a passionate person, and value passion in others. I am a seeker, but a content one - a paradox, like you I have a strong awareness and acceptance of paradoxes. I also believe that we are not our past. We are a different being every day.
Education and a desire for learning are important to me. An intellect is not enough, it should be integrated into the soul. I don't believe in the conceptual divide between mind and emotion. Our mind drives our emotions, and vice versa. They are intertwined, merged.
I love a good conversation. A difference of opinions in a debate should not spell "enemies." It's exciting to learn a different angle on things, and to present your own.
I was raised with a notion that honesty is the best policy. Yet, I understand that some lies are inevitable. I have come to terms with that, to an extent. Withholding important information that affects both partners is worse than a lie, though. Trust is the most important thing in a relationship, and, in its absence, there can be no relationship worth keeping. Experience teaches not only acceptance and tolerance, but also discernment. I remain a trusting person, I couldn't live otherwise. Sometimes I am your proverbial Fool from the Tarot deck, I will take chances, with the apriori faith in things having a way of turning out all right.

I am looking for a chance encounter that will be transformed into instant recognition of the moment for which we have been both waiting.
I want to meet a man who is honest, balanced, positive, sensitive, educated, and has a great sense of humor and irony. Someone who is accomplished, and not necessarily in terms of social position, wealth, or fame, but, rather, someone who feels content with what he has done in life, yet is a seeker.
I have become somewhat skeptical of being able to find someone on-line, even though in the past it was possible, and I did find one of my best relationships on the Internet many years ago. Now things have changed, and I am staring the truth in the eye: if we don't meet in person soon, there is no point in learning about each other "from within" first, as the on-line learning goes usually. Because it backfires in the end. We need to experience the real, physical dynamics of a relationship in order to know whether we want it, or not. So I am just blogging here and talking with friends.
