You can overdose on Tylenol/acetaminophen.

Serious. No more.

Switch to aspirin. Have some tomato juice. Take vitamins.

If it's still really, really bad, have a drink or two, part of a hangover is alcohol withdrawal. But I would forewarn anyone about making a habit of that. Things like this give birth to more drinking and more drinking leads to alcoholism. Your bro always says, "Do NOT escalate ( the drinking )."

fvcking part time Sunday job...

I just realized something. The comment I just made may be the only one I've ever posted on your blog that is totally serious.

ARRRRRRRRRGGGGHHH! ! !
NOISY, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!?!?!?!?!

The mascot writes of chaos in the streets, but with the Noise taking a temporary Vow of Gravity, methinks the real potential for chaos is right here in the blogosphere. Iz NOT GOOD to mess with the natural order of things! Blogal warning! Blogal warning!

You've gotten a little hairier since I saw you last. Kudos on the not puking.

Thank you for not puking. We Canadians, we always have good manners, under *all* circumstances. Heh!

I wonder... there's total chaos in Vancouver according to Notarobot, now major hangover hitting Toronto...

... what's is about to hit Montréal, downstream on the St.Lawrence River... and also at the end of the 401 highway, one wonders.

On a serious note, a bowl of fresh air will do wonders. I think that eating something sugar-based will help too.

As Eastwest mentioned, I'd go easy on acetaminophen (Tylenol). Indeed, it's possible to overdose.

The next time, go easy on beer.

I had a vision more along the lines of Sid Vicious, so now I'm rather curious. Inspiration???

sl:: ha! Somebody bet me I couldn't drink a shot without rowlfing so I bet you feel pretty stupid now, don't you Mr. Smarty Business.

e-dub, okay, I ceased on the Tylenol. No aspirin to replace it with, so my head is still achey. No way am I going for hair of the dog. As the Botman said, I'm already hairier. Also? Blogal warming? Freakin ruled.

Botticus, um, thanks?

siempre, the best is yet to come...

Eski, did Montreal survive the seismic shakeup? Thanks for your advice. I did walk to work this morning - it was a lovely day. By the time my shift was over I was doing worse than the start of the day and I had to take the subway home. But this week is going to get milder and milder - I hope in your neck of the woods too. Lots of fresh air awaits...

I've heard that advil is better, because it won't react with the alcohol in your system. Also, using the hair of the dog to cure a hangover is really just delaying the hangover. Just keep chugging that water and you'll feel better in no time.

Hey, try a shot of Tequila next time...that's my choice! I hope you at least had fun last night!!

Heya, Drea! Thanks for stopping by with the advice. Next time. NOT that there's gonna be a next time!

Thanks also for inquiring as to the enjoyment of the evening that precipitated the pain... it was an awesome night of debauchery.

Blogstars, for next year: I can now tell you that the best defence against losing an hour of sleep in the spring is an aggressive offense. Get plastered on the Saturday night, forego a rejuvenating length of sleep, sleepwalk through the day, and you'll be out like a light by 9 (10), making the one-hour-earlier wake up call a cinch!

These things are lame.

sl:: Yes.

punctum, eeeewww, red pee?! That's it. I am OFF the Tylenol. Thanks for the scared straight tactics!

Dr. Betty here at your service. 6 tylenol is fine as long as you are spacing them appropriately, ie every 4 hours. I assume you did not down them all in one swell foop. like the jagermeister. I'm tempted to say anyone drinks that shit deserves their fate, but of course I would never never say that. heh.

Tee Hee! The new rule of thumb is 2 glasses of water per drink as you are drinking and then as many glasses of water as drinks you have had before you go to beddies! I commiserate!

Dr. Betty, thank you for assuaging my fears re: red pee. I believe it was more like 3 hours in betweensies, but I stopped after 6 due to fear of red pee. Thanks also for your totally non-judgmental stance.

*BB, holy crap that's a lot of liquid. I foresee a lot of banged up shins, elbows, stubbed toes, etc. due to stumbling trips to the can...

dva, yeah, I do feel bad for the bear. I think he had it even worse than me.

Tee HEE!

It is guaranteed that you will never EVER have a hangover if you drink that much water. However, you may be up going to the restroom all night long!

Noisy, I've been advertising hangover cures since time immemorial.
Tomato juice (with salt!) - you can drink a gallon of it, if necessary. Or V8, if tomato juice not available. That's number one cure, after pickle brine (Russian style, no vinegar)
Then: kefir, soft-boiled egg - yes, eating is necessary. Those things bind the toxins quickly.
Advil's better than tylenol. Three tablets,a total of 600 mg, usually works if taken first thing in the morning, and downed with tomato juice!

Trust me.

Best hangover prevention; DO NOT MIX DIFFERENT KINDS OF DRINKS! Don't mix drinks derived from grains with drinks derived from grapes. If you have to, drink only the best gin or vodka, or Scotch, and good wines. Champagne is a killer. So is beer.

in order to avoid such unpleasantries, I've chosen temperance. celibacy, as well, for similar reasons. I may be a liah, though.

StarDoubleB, I'm thinking you can't get hungover cuz you can't get properly drunk. That's what I'm thinkin.

Gypsy, I don't know. Tomato juice? Ew. I like soft-boiled eggs alright, but have you ever read one of my drunkblogs? Don't you think there may be a problem with hand-eye coordination as far as cooking anything is concerned, let alone the dexterity required to slice open a soft-boiled egg and keep the eggshell out. It takes a steady, steady hand. I will definitely get the Advil, tho, since it seems to be a common theme (maybe someone should have mentioned it on the brand blog). Thanks for the tips!

sl:: you chose celibacy or it chose you? Anyway, your restraint is admirable, or would be, if you weren't such a lying liar.

These things are lame.
